Annette Tynes Welch, died at the age of 83 on June 15, 2022 at home with her children by her side, Services are Saturday, June 18, at Mobile Memorial Gardens 6040 Three Notch road, Mobile Al 36619. Visitation is from 1pm to 2 pm. Funeral is at 2pm in the Chapel.
Ms. Welch was born on August 29,1938, in the community of White sand, Pearl River County, Mississippi. She was the tenth child of the late Otho & Cecile Tynes. She attended schools in White Sand MS, Jackson, MS., Clint, MS. and graduated from San Diego High school, San Diego, Ca.
Ms. Welch retired from Acordis Cellulosic Fibers, Inc, in Axis Alabama. After 36 years as a technician in the Rayon Laboratory. Upon retirement in 2001, she continued to work as a part time employee at the Dolly Madison Cakes Bakery in Chickasaw Alabama.
Ms. Welch had an avid interest in history. She loved the United states and enjoyed every opportunity traveling enjoying sites, events, cultures, people. She loved and appreciated antiques.
Ms. Welch was preceded in death by her parents, Otha & Cecile Tynes; sisters: Tudell, Verenia Swilley, Pauline Polk, Mary Catherine, Lolitha, Janette Tynes; brothers: Waren, Walter, Gussie, Otha Jr. Tynes
Ms. Welch is survived by her daughter and son in law Nicole and John M Gash, her son Andrew and daughter in law Jackie Welch. Three grandchildren: John Michael Gash wife Brittany Gash, Raven Welch Jones husband Eric Jones, Savannah Welch Trehern husband Matthew Trehern. Great grand son Geoffree Goodman, and soon to be here in October great grandson to parents Michael and Brittany Gash. Mary A Williams, Brandon, MS who was not only a sister but her best friend throughout her life. They shared an unbreakable bond of love and respect.
